There are 3 main types of settlement methods 1. Mark settle for unsettles with 3-5-1 2. Record amount received and type of receipt, then apply amount to unsettles. Options to print balance cheque 3. Autosettlement We call type 1 as conventional method. The advantage is quickly done. The drawback is hard to reconcile received money. e.g. Rec'd $100,000 for a bought note of $98,000, you do not need to record $100,000, but mark the bought note of $98,000 as settled. The system assume that you have repay the balance $2,000 to client by manual cheque. Type 2 method is working with CHQ+ module. We call this method as wirh RETURN CHEQUE CONTROL. User can specify the type of money received. e.g. $100,000 of xxx Bank cheque from the client, and user can apply this amount to the bought note with amount $98,000. After the selection, the system calculate the balance $2,000 and ask for options to print the amount as a balance cheque. Type 3 is called automatic settle. User no need to use 3-5 settlement screen. Simply enter payment in 3-3, and the system will use the amount received for settlement of all amount due. All done automatically. User should study which method is best suit to their situation.
